INTERNATIONAL DANCE COUNCIL-UNESCO

I have more than 16 years experience in the field of Dance and Theatre as a Teacher, Performer, Producer, Choreographer and conducting workshops. I have a gift for the Art of Dance and Music; through my Venezuelan heritage I has enthralled students and inspired performers.
I started my training as a dancer at the age of 7 years old with jazz, rumba, flamenco, salsa, merengue, cumbia, bachata, rumba and tap, in Caracas, Venezuela under the leadership of Mercedes Quintero at her Dance School.
In 1996, I started my training in Belly Dance at the Middle Eastern Dance Exchange in Miami, Florida, under the leadership of Masters: Tamalyn Dallal, Maria Jammal and Bozenka.

I quickly distinguished myself developing an elegant, classic, powerful, earthy and charismatic style for belly dance.
Ever passionate about my work, I continued to flourish and hone my craft under the tutelage of world renowned master teachers in Miami, New York and Los Angeles. I have participated in Seminars in Egypt, Morocco, Tunisia, Algeria, Dubai, Yemen, Venezuela, Oman and USA.
I bring my Art of Latin Music and Belly dance to many parts of the world, including Venezuela , Morocco, Egypt, Colombia , Argentina , Aruba, Curacao, St. Martine, Tunisia, Algeria, Bonaire , Barbados , Bahamas , Puerto Rico , Dominican Republic , U.S.A. , Yemen, Oman and Spain . I have wealth of experience travelling to further explore the “Art of Dance “
I founded in Caracas, Venezuela “ANUBIS NIRVANA DANZA ARABE Y LATIN “in 2005, I spent time training dancers and producing a myriad of events ranging from TV (PORTADAS, CHANEL 4), radio ( 101.1 FM), theatre shows (Teatro Don Bosco and C.E.A) and outdoor festivals (International Dance Day by UNESCO and Ultimas Noticias Newspaper Anniversary). I am very proud, that my dance school in Venezuela was the first one to introduce Bollywood dance style; this achievement was even recognized by the TV channel Venevision, which broadcast many times my dance show.
I founded in Muscat, Sultanate of Oman, a dance school in April 2008, “ANUBIS NIRVANA LATIN AND BELLY DANCE” where I have students from different countries, also many interviews with local newspapers and magazines like: Times of Oman, Hi, The Week, “Y”, The Observer, Muscat Daily, Mar’a, Faces, Thursday, Oman Tribune.
I was also delighted to create 3 different Latin Dance workshops for the summer camps at the Catholic Church in Muscat from June and July 2008-2009-2010.
I am also writing for a dance magazine in Venezuela and a web page in Florida-USA.
In March 26th 2009, my students and I participated in a charity event, where the Royal Family from Oman was present: Dance Muscat Dance 2009, we delight the audience with different performances like: Rumba Flamanca, Belly Dance with Isis Wings, Bomba from Puerto Rico and Drums from Venezuela.
In December 2010, I travelled to Caracas , Venezuela to be part of an International Dance Festival, where I taught Belly Dance and Omani dance, Master Mahmoud Reda was also teaching at the same workshop, he is an International master teacher founder of the famous REDA TROUP from Egypt.
I am a member of the following international dance organizations: International Dance Council, UNESCO, and Associated Artists of Middle Eastern Dance, INC. According to me Dance and music is a way of life; it defines me. I love the intricacies of Middle Eastern and Latin Music, sensuality of the movement, strength and power in its most feminine form, expanding people’s knowledge of these dances beyond biases.
To quote some of my students “I really like the way you teach and explain, then make sure that we do the moves properly. You are an expert because you are the first teacher who shows us how to protect our bodies, thank you; Ms Lucy Adams, Teacher Mathematics, Muscat International School, Oman

After my daughter who is a mentally challenge kid, joined your classes there was a marked improvement in her behaviours and coordination. She started listening to music, took interest in her appearance, and went to school (before she was taught at home). Mrs. Josefina Rodríguez, Caracas, Venezuela
