Shambhavi School of Dance, Bangalore was established in 1993 as a Gurukul of Indian classical Dance and music by the celebrity danseuse Smt.Vyjayanthi Kashi. As the horizon was rediscovered during its artistic journey of sixteen years, Shambhavi School of Dance redefined its existence as a center for promotion, dissemination and training of arts.
Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism. Shambhavi School of Dance Gurukul forms a unique synthesis of the modern technological educational aids and the intense and value based training system of the ancient Gurukulas. In the past decade art events involving some of the renowned artists of this period have been organized by Shambhavi School of Dance in addition to imparting training to many students in India and other countries based on Guru-Shishya parampara. Along with the intensive dance training, the students learn yoga, mythology, Acting and Mine, Music, Aesthetics, History of dance, Theory of Dance, Theory of Music, Philosophy, Light and Sound, Stage Design, Make-up Artistry and spiritual thought. Our students are also taught to conduct lecture-demonstrations, to teach dance, choreograph and to perform professionally.
We also have week end workshops in yoga, dance, meditation, theatre and many more. Amidst nature and serenity with accommodation facility guided by professionals who are passionate in arts you can journey through India.
