Giju, a renowned salsa dancer and instructor in the international salsa scene, will be touring India for the month of February. A long standing principal dancer of SalsaMania, based in San Francisco, Giju is also a singer and the first artist to release a Hindi album successfully collaborating salsa with Indian-pop. He will be accompanied by another very accomplished salsa dancer Kristen Nolan, who is well known for her impeccable spinning techniques and unique styling. Giju is an accomplished Salsa dancer and choreographer. He is an original member of the “Salsamania Dance Company”, a world-ranked Salsa dance troupe known for its hypnotic performances — marked by high levels of speed and technical difficulty. As a lead member of Salsamania, Giju performs and competes throughout the U.S., Europe and Mexico. An innovative world music vocalist, producer and world-class Salsa dancer, Giju has awakened audiences with his versatile and energetic style since his youth. With a remarkable power to move the spirit.
Giju is positioned as one of the most compelling and captivating performers to hit the Indian and world music scene. His first album, released in early 2007, features six singles including the title track, “Rang Rangeeli” (Color Colorful) – with accompanying music video.
Kristen Nolan began dancing classical ballet at 3years of age and continued her training through the age of 18. She danced professionally with the Danville and Contra Costa Ballet companies located in San Francisco, CA and performed in numerous classical pieces to include the Nutcracker, Sleeping Beauty, and Swan Lake.
She commenced her Salsa dance career in 2003 with the renowned San Francisco, CA Bay Area-based Salsamania professional dance company. Kristen performs as a principal dancer with Salsamania during their annual world-wide touring season – including a top 3 ranking at the ESPN World Salsa Championships in 2005 and 2006.
Kristen is best known for her spinning skills, body isolations and unique styling. She combines a high level of ballet and salsa training with a personal “flavor” – which makes her one of the most admired dancers in the world of salsa
