
The Secrets of Argentine Tango: Workshop with Rebecca & Olga
Two dynamite Tango aficionados will be in Town for a few days in November.

We’ll be hosting workshops with them on:
Sunday, November 9th at St. Andrew’s College, and Monday, November 10th at Zenzi.
They will also have limited availability for private lessons.

5-6:30pm The Secrets of Tango: Introduction
A class designed to introduce you to Argentine Tango from Rebecca’s perspective. Good for the total beginner to the advanced dancer, Rebecca will share her secrets on the fundamentals of Tango.
7-8:30pm The Secrets of Tango: Connection
A continuation of the first class, going more in depth into how we connect in the dance, and unlocking more moves and abilities. Begin to capture the essence of Tango!
Monday, November 10th at Zenzi
8-9:30pm The Secrets of Tango: Musicality and Style
Musicality and Styling are what make Tango the elegant and graceful dance form that it is. Rebecca will share some of the elements that make us able to really dance.
All Classes are open for all levels of Tango students.
Costs: Individual classes *Rs. 700 per person/Rs. 1200 per couple

Rebecca Rorick Smith
Rebecca Rorick Smith has been involved with Argentine Tango since 1999. Learning first at the University of Oregon she became insatiable and dedicated herself to the dance.
Her passion for tango led her to study from a long list of tango masters during trips to Argentina including: Mariano Chicho Frumboli, Eugenia Parilla, Gustavo Naviera & Giselle Anne, Graciela Gonzalez, Cecilia Gonzalez, Gaston Torelli, Mariela Sametband, Matias Falco & Kara Wenham, Dana Frigolii and Luciana Valle.
In 2001 she helped open the not-for-profit Tango Center in Eugene, OR which hosts Tango instructors from around the globe. Teaching now for almost a decade Rebecca is well known in United States for her expert comprehension of many styles of tango as well as being a strong female Lead.
In 2004 she started working internationally and recently taught in the United Kingdom. For the last year she has been teaching tango at Southern Oregon University, and helping to build tango in many of Oregon’s growing communities.
