After a long awaited wait we are back with the Hafla night with a Bang! This time only to take you back to the land of Gypsies – flying skirts, colorful turbans, henna and lots more. A Mela section where you can buy bangles, get henna applied or paint your body and also find out what your cards say from our Tarot reader. A belly dance workshop, along with breathtaking performances by our very own Veronica and students of Veve dance.
Also an exclusive performance by our special guest for the evening – Queen Harish. All the way from Jaisalmer, the first city on the desert road to Egypt. The city that’s entirely made of stone reflects a golden pattern in the middle of Rajasthan, country of the kings and Queen Harish is the dancing whirling queen of the desert of India.
After being featured in the musical documentary “When the road bends: Tales of a gypsy caravan,” Indian drag sensation Queen Harish has become quite the jet setter. New York, London, Barcelona, Tokyo – “the dancing whirling, desert drag queen,” as she calls herself, is everywhere, flying in for celebrity weddings, giant outdoor concerts and gay parties.
So this 3rd of Feb be there at Zenzi not to miss out the fun with the gypsies!
