Dance in City – Mumbai

Split Sole Dance Academy has been founded by Dhiraj Bakshi. We are jazz based dance academy with strong technique and at SSDA we teach different forms of Jazz such as Jazz Funk, along with Lyrical and Contemporary dance forms.
Dhiraj Bakshi has been trained in Ballet, Contemporary, Jazz Funk, Lyrical and multiple Ballroom styles. He has attended an array of workshops with international instructors from all over the world. (Jann Freeman, Suraiya Franco, Jacqueline Bird etc.) which has given him a great deal of experience and exposure in his work of art.
He has performed at a number of shows in his career. Along with being a performer, Dhiraj has also choreographed and judged for various college festivals (Malhar ’09 , Jai Hind college) and stage shows. He has successfully conducted workshops in Mumbai and Delhi. Recently, SSDA took a workshop with Sophia’s College at their cultural festival – Kaleidoscope 09, as well as Jai Hind college cultural fest and Salsa Fiesta – a dance festival.

He is currently a guest faculty at Terence Lewis’ Contemporary Dance Company and has also trained company members of Salsa India Productions Ltd.
