Come and witness this spectacular presentation featuring performances by Sandip Soparrkar, Jessy Randhawa, Sandip Soparrkar’s Troupe and Students Of Capoeira India also live performances by musicians playing samba beats with Brazilian instruments and audio visuals. The National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA), India’s premiere art and culture institution, has curated three editions of the NCPA annual Summer Dance Festival, Mudra Dance Week with outstanding artistes, from all over India.

The NCPA welcomes the Indian Summer with our Summer Dance Festival — Mudra Dance Festival 2012. Slated to take place from April 9 to 28, 2012, the festival will feature movement photography workshops, dance appreciation lectures, film screenings (Lasya Kavya – A film on Alarmel Valli, that recently won a national Award. Ms Valli will herself be present for a post-event discussion), a photo exhibition and some spectacular performances by the greats masters of Indian Dance including Birju Maharaj, Sadanam Balakrishnan, Aruna Mohanty and Shashadhar Acharya amongst others. Tango & Paso Doble includes

The International Style of Tango- the most passionate & powerful ballroom dance characterized by big movements, dramatic gestures & soul-stirring music

Paso Doble- a lively International Latin dance that is modeled after the sound, drama, and movement of the Spanish Bull fight.
