Lindy Hop India is a Dance Company specialized in Authentic American Dance Styles. These include the dances of the Swing era such as the Charleston, the Lindy Hop, and Authentic Jazz Dance, as well as Argentine Tango, the sensual dance from South America. Lindy Hop India o”ers classes, workshops, hosts dance parties and performs all of these dance styles.
The Artistic Directors of Lindy Hop India are Tim Collins (US) and Malou Meyenhofer (Switzerland). Tim and Malou have performed and taught the dances of the Swing era in the US, Europe and Asia. As performance dancers they combine an elegant style with powerful moves. Their classes are known for capturing the joy of the dance, keeping the balance between focused work on technique and musicality and a very playful approach to learning the dance.
Lindy Hop India is based in Mumbai. Workshops and classes are held in studios around the city. Tim and Malou’s central venue is Zenzi Bar in Bandra, where they teach classes, host Swing Dance Parties and Tango Dances (Milongas). They are also often on the road performing and teaching in cities across India, and around the world.
