The Chhandam School of Kathak dance, founded and directed by internationally renowned Kathak master Pandit Chitresh Das, is one of the largest Classical dance institutions in the world with over 450 students world wide. Chhandam has branches in Kolkata, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, Canada and now in Mumbai!!
For its thirty-year history, Chhandam has and continues to impact the preservation and promotion of Kathak at the highest caliber locally, nationally, and internationally.

If you ask for the age of learning, there is absolutely no age for learning anything. I am 29 and have started learning Kathak recently as it’s my passion and I always wanted to learn it but because of the circumstances I couldn’t. But now I am learning and I’ll learn it till it ends.
So I advice you not to think of the age and should learn it if you want.
tHE FEES MAY BE 1000-1500 AND DURATION for full course may be 4-5 yrs depending upon how fast you catch up.
You can search the classes on the net. There is Uma Dogra’s classes going on in Bhangur Nagar and Juhu. You can go on net to find it . You’ll get it. Honestly I don’t know any difference between kathak and bharatnatyam. All the best.

• Mar 2005 Choreography & performance on Sanskrit Shlokas for launching event of
“Designer Bliss” Audio CD, in the presence of the great music composer Shriniwas khale

• Dec 2002 - Karnataka tour: Performance at Udapi Krishnan Mandir, Shrigeri, and Mukambika Mandir.
• Mar 2003 - Kerala tour: Performance at Guruvayur Appan Mandir & many other places.
• Feb 2005 - Performance at 55th “Shivali Festival” at Karnataka Sangha Auditorium, Mumbai.
Other Achievements:
• Attended as JUDGE for Inter School Competitions of Classical Dance held on Dec2004 at Andheri by NRITYANJALI.
