“Dance is my first love” – Devesh Mirchandani
Devesh has been dancing from childhood but professionally from the last 8 years. Trained under Shiamak Davar and many International Teachers at Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company (TLCDC) , Devesh has started his own dance company in the name of Devesh Mirchandani Modern Dance Company and conducts classes at Andheri. He specializes in the following styles: Jazz, Modern, Contemporary, Salsa, Bollywood and Hip hop.
TRAINING
• Trained at Shiamak Davar’s Institute of Performing Arts (SDIPA) and in the Special Potential Batch (SPB) batch for two and a half years
• Trained at Terence Lewis Contemporary Dance Company for 3 years successfully.
WORK
• Done umpteen number of shows as a lead dancer as well as a block dancer. Choreographed many stage performances and a television show called “Rock and Roll Family,” on Zee Tv.
• Danced as a lead dancer in ICC awards, 2007.
• Worked with Padmini Kolhapuri on two projects where Devesh has trained kids for a show in Pune.
• Done shows at Malaysia and Perth with the TLCDC.
PERSONAL TRAINING AND WORKSHOPS
• Trained many television and film actors like Amisha Patel, Prerna Wanvari, Kashmira Shah, Rahul Arora, Harshad Chopra, etc
• Currently giving personal training to Saumya Tandon
• Conducting workshops in Bollyhop, Jazz and Contemporary in Mumbai
• Conducted 2 workshops in Bollyhop and Salsa in Jaipur
PROJECTS UNDERTAKEN
• News Television Awards 2010
Choreographed and designed News Television Awards 2010, held in Delhi at Ashoka Palace on 25th March 2010 for Indiantelevision.com which was telecasted on P7 News Channel. 4 acts were performed – Contemporary, Jazz, Bollywood Item Dhamaka and Bollywood Masala
Artist Performers – Prerna Wanvari (Bandini Fame) and Robin Merchant
• Swiss Airways
Choreographed and performed for Swiss Airways. Performed 4 Acts – Contemporary, Jazz, Salsa and Bollywood.
