Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio is started by German Trained Ballroom Dance Teacher Sandip Soparrkar, who is certified by the ‘Ballroom Dance Teacher’s Training School Bonn, Germany.’ in 1999. Sandip was the partner to the former European Ballroom Champion for nine years. In Mumbai, Jessy Randhawa (India’s Supermodel) is his dance partners. Sandip is qualified to teach all Latin American and Standard Ballroom Dances (Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha Cha, Jive, Paso Doble, Waltz, Viennese Waltz, Foxtrot, Quickstep & Tango)

Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio is the first in India to have sent its couple for the various International Dance Sport Federation (IDSF) championships held in Singapore, Macau, Malaysia, Sri Lanka & Hong Kong India stood 14th, 15th, 9th, 4th& 5th respectively.

Asian Gymnastic Championships 2006 gave the honor to Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio to perform the inaugural ceremony theme dance ‘Dances Down the Ages’ before the Prime Minister of India Mr. Manmohan Singh. The Dance Studio also had the privilege to pay tribute to the awardees for the ‘Life Time Achievement Award’ with their dance act ‘Hollywood Musicals’ during the Pune International film festival 2006.

Mrs. Sarah Giri (wife of the Ex Prime Minister of Nepal Dr. Tulsi Giri) had invited Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio to choreograph a special Latin dance show for the deaf and mute children titled ‘The World of Silence’ which showcased over 50 shows all over the world from October 2006 till February 2007.

Since it’s inception Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio has opened branches; in Mumbai (Bandra, Kemps Corner, Cuff Parade, Lower Parel, Santracruz, Andheri & Goregaon) in Pune (Mg. Road & Koregaon Park) also in Surat, Ahmedabad & Hyderabad. Sandip personally teaches and visits each of his branches and shows students the techniques in four Latin American ballroom dances (Rumba, Samba, Cha Cha Cha and Jive), two Standard ballroom dances (Social Foxtrot and Waltz) and two famous club dances (Cuban Salsa and Merengue) strictly adhering to the syllabus of ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing). Many well know corporate companies like: Jet Airways, Hindustan Lever, Lintas, HSBC Bank, ICICI Securities, Citi Group, Hinduja Hospital, Wockhard Hospital, Prince Ali Khan Hospital, Kotak Mahindra, Perfect Relations, Human Factors International, etc are all taking dance lessons as an HR activity for their employees. Over 8000 students from different walks of life like; corporate executives, doctors, students, housewives and even film, television and media personalities have been trained at the ballroom studio. Many International, National & Local newspapers & television channels regularly feature the Ballroom Studio for promoting Latin & Ballroom dance culture in India.

Many international dancers like Canadian National, Mr. Julian House, a student and representative of London School of Economics and Ms. Eunice Robbins from USA come down to Mumbai especially to train in dance technique, body posture and hand Movements, from Sandip Soparrkar’s Ballroom Studio in preparation for various International dance competitions.
