The Barrida “The Sweep “: Foot drags and sweeps add charm and playfulness to your tango. We’ll share the technique and secrets of how to lead and follow these moves gracefully and elegantly. Contribution: Rs. 800 per person, 1500 per couple

Swing Night. Every Wednesday at Zenzi we give a brief swing lesson after our regular classes. Then we play swing music, and dance Lindy Hop, Charleston, Jazz and more from the swing family until 1am.

Class Descriptions:

Argentine Tango Basics: Beginning Argentine Tango. The dance of passion- seductive, elegant, and graceful. Argentine Tango has captured the world’s imagination as one of the most beautiful couple dances in history. Take. your first steps into Tango this September.

Argentine Tango Essentials: The second class in the Argentine Tango series. Looking at new combinations, moves, and technique. We’ll explore changes of direction, volcadas, turns, and more.

Lindy Hop Basics: Beginning Lindy Hop. The dance has elegance, style, charm, great energy, fun moves and rhythms and a raw power not seen in any other social dance. Come be a part of the newest dance in town!

Lindy Hop Essentials: The second class in the Lindy Hop series. We’ll delve deeper into the secrets of this dance and explore new moves, forms of connection, musicality and rhythm variations.

Argentine Tango Movement: Learn to move gracefully and fluidly with strength and presence. These movement techniques for Argentine Tango will help you gain confidence and elegance in your dancing. Great for all levels of dancers.

Charleston: The Charleston is the flamboyant dance of the 20’s era. Imagine flapper girls, pearl necklaces, gentlemen in suits, speakeasies and wild energy. It is danced solo, and sometimes with a partner. We’ll emphasize routines and choreographies, and improvised movement.

Congrats to our winning student from September who was the first to register online, and is presently taking our beginning Tango course. He won a free private lesson with Malou and I that will take place at the end of the session. Once again for October we have the same offer: The 1st person to register online for the October Sessions will win a free private lesson with us! The only condition is that you arrive on or before the first day of class and pay for the entire class session. You will receive your private lesson at the end of the series. I will announce the winner on the first day of class.

Class Costs:
-Rs. 300 per class hour when the series is paid in advance.
-Drop-in Fee (if there is room in the class) is Rs. 400 per class hour. If you wish to continue through the rest of the session, the cost will be reduced to 300 per class hour.
-Special Student Discount. Show us your student ID and class session are reduced to Rs. 250 per class hour when the entire session is paid in advance.

Lindy Hop India is a Dance Company specialized in Authentic American Dance Styles. These include the dances of the Swing era such as the Charleston, the Lindy Hop, and Authentic Jazz Dance, as well as Argentine Tango, the sensual dance from South America.
