Tim Collins is known for his powerful presence and expressive movements. He’s a very experienced Swing dancer, that found his love for Lindy Hop more than ten years ago. Hailing from Seattle US, he soon travelled to festivals all over the world. His background in martial arts as well as intense studies of African dance during a one year long stay in Ghana are still visible in his dancing and make his moves grounded and centered.
Tim and Malou
Malou Meyenhofer is an experienced dancer in various solo and couple dance styles. She has graduated as a contemporary dancer and choreographer from Zurich Dance Theatre School and has worked both in her home country Switzerland and abroad. Her credits include several productions for theatre and music bands, as a dancer also MTV. In her Swing dancing she combines a strong technique with a deep sense for musicality and elegant styling.
Tim and Malou started performing and teaching together in 2005, and have since worked in Europe, the US and, more recently, India. Their style is a fine balance of the elegance of a couple moving in harmony and the pure joy of the music itself. Their classes are famous for highlighting the excitement of the dance and accompanying their students into the world of improvising by showing them the beauty of the music. Their natural humor and playful approach to dancing makes it easy for everyone to share their passion.
